SESAME WAFERS

2 c flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 c margarine

1 c sugar

1 egg

1 tsp vanilla

4 oz (about 1/2 c) sesame seeds

Cream margarine with sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg & vanilla.

Sift flour,baking soda & salt onto waxed paper. Add to batter half at a time. Blend.

The dough will be soft.

Chill several hours.

Place the sesame seeds in a pie plate. Roll 1/2 tsp of dough at a time into a ball. Roll in the sesame seeds to coat lightly. Place 2" apart on lightly greased cookie sheet.

OVEN: 350º

BAKE: 10 minutes until lightly golden.

Cool completely on wire racks.

YIELD: 8 dozen

These have a wonderful flavor.
