These are easy to prepare and can be done in a food processor.
l c margarine or butter
l c sifted confectioners sugar
l tsp vanilla
2 1/4 c flour
1/4 tsp salt
sprinkles, nuts or colored sugar - optional
Mix 1st 3 ingredients thoroughly. Stir in flour & salt. Mix.
Shape into 2 rolls, about 2" in diameter. Roll one in sprinkles & the other in nuts, etc.
Wrap in plastic wrap and chill several hours.
Cut into 1/8" thick slices.
Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
OVEN: 400º
BAKE: 8 - 10 minutes
Yield: 4 1/2 dozen
